Craftsmanship
Fortaleza Reposado is produced using meticulously selected fully ripe Blue Weber agave, cooked slowly by steam in a small brick horno. The agave is crushed using a traditional two-ton volcanic stone tahona, then fermented naturally with mountain spring water from the volcanic region of Tequila. Distillation occurs twice in small copper pot stills, preserving character and depth. The tequila is aged for six months in used American whiskey barrels, allowing subtle oak influence to soften the spirit while enhancing natural agave richness.
