The creation of Ron Colon Salvadoreno Red Banana Oleo Rum was inspired by the discovery made by the Ron Colon Salvadoreno team in El Salvador. They observed red banana trees being used as shade crops on a coffee farm. Additionally, they were influenced by a cocktail that utilized a technique called 'oleo saccharum' with banana skins. This technique involves coating fruit rinds with sugar to extract aromatic oils and produce a highly flavorful syrup.
