A Highland Agave Spirit with Barrel-Driven Depth - Viva Mexico Añejo Tequila
Viva Mexico Añejo Tequila elevates traditional highland agave craftsmanship through careful maturation in American oak barrels. Aged for an average of 18 months, this extra añejo balances the natural sweetness of 100 percent Blue Agave with rich barrel character, producing a smooth, full-bodied, and layered spirit.
Tasting Experience
Appearance: Amber-colored, full-bodied, and radiant in the glass.
Nose: Sweet barrel aromas of caramel, maple, cocoa, chocolate, and prunes, complemented by subtle tobacco, grapefruit, and hints of rosemary, thyme, and banana.
Palate: Smooth and inviting, combining notes of maple, white chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and dried fruits such as raisins and plums.
Finish: Sweet and slightly bitter, leaving a lingering impression that encourages another sip.
Craftsmanship
Made from highland agave harvested after six to eight years, the piñas are slow roasted and fermented for a minimum of 120 hours, accompanied by classical music to ensure a calm fermentation. Double-distilled in copper stills, the tequila is then aged in American oak barrels to develop its signature depth and smoothness. Bottled at 38 percent or 40 percent ABV in 700 ml and 750 ml formats, this añejo exemplifies precision and tradition.
Best Enjoyed
Sip neat to experience the rich interplay of agave and oak, or over a large ice cube to highlight its layered flavors. It also enhances elevated tequila cocktails for those seeking a more decadent, barrel-driven experience.
